BEN TUCK TO RETURN TO NURBURGRING ALONGSIDE DTM TROPHY CAMPAIGN!

 In Other

Good news comes in threes they say, and the 2020 season has started on a bright note as Ben Tuck releases the third in a trio of exciting announcements.  Hot on the heels of being awarded Rising Star status by the British Racing Drivers Club, and then confirmation that he will be representing top BMW squad Walkenhorst Motorsport in their debut in the 2020 DTM Trophy, Ben now has revealed that he will also be competing a full season in the 2020 Nurburgring Endurance Series, also with Walkenhorst Motorsport.

The news confirms Ben’s busiest season yet as he dovetails his DTM Trophy duties as a Walkenhorst junior driver with a full season in the Nurburgring Endurance Series (NES), formerly known as the VLN Championship. In a packed itinerary, Ben will compete in 14 races across 3 European countries in Walkenhorst’s Total BMW M4 GT4, with only one date clash which will see him opt for the July DTM Trophy round held at the Norisring in Nuremburg.

Ben competed in the 2019 VLN championship as well as the 6Hr and 24Hr of Nurburgring in the BMW240i prior to being awarded his full Nurburgring permit which then allowed him to finish the season in the BMW M4 GT4 with a tally of 5 podiums. This season’s NES campaign will see Ben partner amateur drivers Jörg Breuer and Florian Weber across nine 4 and 6-hour races.  The crew successfully competed together for several VLN races in 2019 and Ben is looking forward to racing with the two German drivers again:

“VLN last year was fantastic and I loved such a huge challenge. We came away with some great results and Nurburgring is a circuit on which you never stop learning. I can’t wait to get back out there and it will be great to race the whole season as a regular crew with Jörg and Florian. They are great guys and I’m really looking forward to developing as a crew. Hopefully we’ll do even better than last year!”
